Performance-based Admissions Track (PAT) Program
After being admitted into the Performance-based Admission Track (PAT) Program, learners will take a set of non-degree graduate level courses, as specified by the degree they wish to pursue. Successful completion of the track requires maintaining a 3.0 cumulative GPA and receiving a B or better in two of the three courses. PAT course requirements can be found here.
When those requirements are met, PAT learners gain automatic admission to their desired program as a degree-seeking learner. The courses they've completed are transferred toward their degree.
It is recommended that learners take no more than 1 course at a time while enrolled in the PAT program. For learners who do take more than one course, no more than 50% of the degree program can be completed while in the PAT program.
Time to Degree or Credential
Learners pursuing a degree program must complete the degree program within five (5) years of first registering as a degree-seeking learner in the master’s degree program.
Learners pursuing a Graduate Certificate have two (2) years to complete the Graduate Certificate program. Learners who have not completed their degree or Graduate Certificate program within this time may be placed on academic warning. Learners may request a one-year maximum extension to complete the remaining program requirements. Learners should include an Academic Plan and submit a Graduate Student petition for consideration.
