Course Planning for PAT Students
The Performance-based Admissions Track (PAT) is a first of its kind pathway into the iMBA, iMSA, and iMSM programs. Whether you are in PAT to pursue gaining admission to the degree program, and/or satisfying English proficiency requirements, we are here to support you.
Each course takes place on two platforms: Canvas and Coursera. In order to pass your courses, you must pass any associated Coursera MOOCs and obtain a Coursera certificate for each component. Failure to pass the associated Coursera MOOCs will result in a final grade of “F” for your for-credit courses.
iMBA PAT Course Planning
iMBA PAT Overview and Sample Schedule
As a student in the PAT Program, you will need to complete all 3 courses in Core 2, Managerial Economics and Business Analysis. This includes:
- FIN 574 — Microeconomics
- BADM 572 — Statistics
- FIN 571 — Money and Banking
You must complete these 3 courses while maintaining a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and must receive a B or better in 2 of the 3 courses above. You should take 1 course at a time.
Students should only take the required PAT courses. Any additional courses that you take are taken at your own discretion, and taking additional courses may impact your GPA and overall admission decision for the degree program. However, if offered admission, additional courses taken during the PAT program will be counted toward your degree requirements.
iMBA PAT students do have the option to take MBA 597: Program Foundations while in the PAT program. This course is an iMBA degree requirement. If you choose not to take this course during the iMBA PAT program, you will be required to take it concurrently with your first course(s) in the iMBA degree program. This zero-credit hour course will not impact your GPA. However, all courses completed while in the PAT program will be taken into consideration when determining your admittance to the iMBA program.
Nearing the completion of your PAT program, our team will reach out with next steps regarding your degree offer based on the success in your PAT coursework.
