Admissions Scholarships

Gies Online Programs offers limited and competitive admissions scholarships to offset the cost of a learner’s program. To qualify, learners must submit the scholarship application by the stated deadline.  Scholarships are only for the specific semester stated in the offer letter and deferral or declining admission will result in the forfeit of the award. Learners who desire to take time off must communicate with their program on the status of their scholarship. Learners who pause for longer than one academic year may forfeit their scholarship upon return.

Scholarships received upon admission will be applied after the 10th business day. Scholarship recipients must maintain the minimum GPA as stated in their offer letter, which may be higher than the minimum program GPA, and maintain or complete all expectations of the scholarship, which includes upholding the Gies College of Business mission and expectations of their program. Failure to maintain expectations of a Gies Business scholarship, including GPA, may result in loss of scholarship.

Emergency Scholarships

On occasion, Gies Graduate Programs offers an iDegree Emergency Scholarship, as a one-time financial assistance to Gies Online degree-seeking learners (iMSA, iMSM, iMBA) experiencing an unexpected financial crisis. This fund is intended to offer short-term support for unforeseen hardships that may impact a learner’s ability to continue their studies. Eligible circumstances may include unexpected loss of income, medical expenses, family-related financial challenges, or other urgent needs affecting a learner’s basic stability.

The emergency scholarship is not intended to cover travel expenses or tuition. Learners may be considered for assistance only when a recent, significant change in financial circumstances has created an immediate need.
