Gies College of Business grants degrees three times a year -- in May, August, and December. You need to submit an application for graduation in your final term in order to place your name on the degree list and receive your diploma.

In this episode of The Gies Download, Dean Brooke Elliott reflects on her first 18 months leading Gies College of Business. Dean Elliott discusses her central goal of expanding access to education, both by increasing enrollment and ensuring affordability, awareness, and opportunity for all students. She outlines plans to grow the undergraduate population significantly while maintaining financial support, and highlights efforts to make transformative experiences like study abroad and experiential learning more accessible. Dean Elliott also discusses Gies’ proactive approach to AI as a tool for learning, efficiency, and innovation, stressing the importance of integrating it thoughtfully into the curriculum while preserving foundational skills. She also shares her vision for strengthening entrepreneurship across campus through new programs and partnerships, alongside revitalizing areas like real estate education.
