Graduation

Gies College of Business grants degrees three times a year -- in May, August, and December. You need to submit an application for graduation in your final term in order to place your name on the degree list and receive your diploma.

A native of Jamaica and second-generation college student, Nerissa Brown is charged with not just preparing students for graduation, but also with helping them navigate a career path, overcome obstacles, and succeed in their chosen field.

As an associate professor of accountancy and academic director at Gies, Nerissa Brown is charged with not just preparing students for graduation, but also with helping them navigate a career path, overcome obstacles, and succeed in their chosen field. And few people know how to do those things better than her. A native of Jamaica and second-generation college student, Nerissa blazed her own trail and is now helping others do the same.
