Gies College of Business grants degrees three times a year -- in May, August, and December. You need to submit an application for graduation in your final term in order to place your name on the degree list and receive your diploma.

MAS ’18 Alumni Nominated for Postgraduate Technical Assistant Positions with the FASB and GASB

  Three of the top students in the Master of Accounting Science (MAS) program, Alexander Balkan, Emma Lazar, and Yuxin Shi, have been nominated by the Department of Accountancy for an opportunity to spend one year as a Postgraduate Technical Assistant at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) or the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB). Balkan, of Northbrook, Illinois will begin his one-year term in July 2018 with the GASB. Lazar, of Skokie, Illinois will begin her one-year term in January 2019 and return to Crowe Horwath, in Chicago, Illinois at the conclusion of her time with the FASB.
