Graduation

Gies College of Business grants degrees three times a year -- in May, August, and December. You need to submit an application for graduation in your final term in order to place your name on the degree list and receive your diploma.

Alta Gwinn Saunders was the first woman to teach in the College of Business -- and later became the first woman to head a department of Business English at any university. While she had a busy career teaching professional writing and advertising courses and traveling across the country as a guest speaker, she also found time to help the women of Delta Gamma start a tea shop on Green Street in 1916.
