Accountancy’s programs remain top in US, according to Public Accounting Report

Aug 31, 2015, 08:36 by Gies College of Business
Once again, the Department of Accountancy at Illinois retains top rankings for undergraduate, master’s, and PhD programs, according to the 2015 Public Accounting Report’s survey of accounting professors. The undergraduate program remained at #2 from 2014; the graduate program stayed at the #2 position; and the doctoral program retained its #4 ranking. The Public Accounting Report’s annual survey seeks to measure perceptions of accounting programs thought to most consistently turn out students capable of someday attaining partner status. Rankings are based on professor ratings of accounting programs at US universities.
