Graduation

Gies College of Business grants degrees three times a year -- in May, August, and December. You need to submit an application for graduation in your final term in order to place your name on the degree list and receive your diploma.

Chen joins Gies Business with mission to make tax more accessible

Former Deloitte tax consultant Shannon Chen joined Gies Business as an assistant professor of accountancy, seeking a career with lasting purpose. Through award-winning teaching, she makes complex tax concepts approachable and helps students see accounting as a path to opportunity.

Karneisha Wolfe receives 2026 Wildman Medal Award

Wolfe and her coauthors' award-winning work finds that committees are increasingly assigned responsibilities beyond their traditional role, which can improve governance while also creating overwork, weaker oversight, and a “box-checking” mentality.
