Gies College of Business grants degrees three times a year -- in May, August, and December. You need to submit an application for graduation in your final term in order to place your name on the degree list and receive your diploma.

Returning to school as a working professional can be a major challenge, but online MBA programs offer flexibility for participants to balance work and study. Preparation is crucial, and business schools recognize the need to support students in their transition. Schools like Gies College of Business provide resources, selection processes, and early access to course content to help students adjust.

“Incoming students have the opportunity to connect with current students during our student ambassador office hours to learn more about the program, coursework, expectations and resources available,” Marcus Phillips, associate director of recruiting and admissions for Gies’ online programs, told FindMBAonline.com. “There is also a welcome webinar prior to the beginning of courses that consists of a student panel and breakout rooms in Zoom to provide you with a glimpse of what it will be like engaging with fellow learners in the program.”
