Gies College of Business grants degrees three times a year -- in May, August, and December. You need to submit an application for graduation in your final term in order to place your name on the degree list and receive your diploma.

Elliott appointed to Gordon Food Service board of directors

Brooke Elliott, EY Distinguished Professor and Head of the Department of Accountancy, has been appointed to the Gordon Food Service board of directors.

Brooke Elliott, EY Distinguished Professor and Head of the Department of Accountancy at Gies College of Business, has been appointed to the Gordon Food Service board of directors. Gordon Food Service is a privately held and family-managed foodservice distributor with operations in the US and Canada.

“I am honored to join the board of Gordon Food Service — a company that is known for itsBrooke Elliott commitment to the highest quality product and services, achieving its purpose through innovation, integrity, and the value it places on each employee,” said Elliott. “These are the same values that I hold personally and professionally, and I could not be more excited to share my expertise and passion with the Gordon Food Service team. “ 

Elliott is a Bedford, Indiana native who earned her BS and MBA degrees at Indiana University and her PhD in accounting at the University of Washington. She has taught at Illinois since 2003 and was named department head in 2017. Elliott will join the board of directors, which includes B. Joseph White, the James F. Towey Professor of Business and Leadership at Gies College of Business.
