Austin Immersion: Deadline Extended
Looking for a flexible, cost-effective immersion? The application deadline for our Fall 2026 Hybrid Immersion in Austin, Texas has been extended to Sunday, July 12 at 11:59 pm CT! This format combines virtual and in-person components for greater flexibility in cost and scheduling. Enjoy the same immersive experience as our in-person option, including a group consulting project with a local business, cultural insights, and collaboration with fellow iDegree learners—all tailored to fit your needs. If you have already applied for the Fall 2026 hybrid immersion, you do not need to apply again. Fall 2026 Ambassador Program Applications!
Are you passionate about sharing what makes the Gies Online learner experience special? We’re looking for enthusiastic current learners to join our Gies Online Ambassador Program for the Fall 2026 semester!
As an ambassador, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Engage in one-on-one conversations with prospective learners
- Serve as panelists during recruitment webinars
- Participate in office hours
- Host LinkedIn Live sessions
- Create and share quotes and stories for social media posts

Your Canvas Course Page Has a Time Limit
Canvas course pages are available for eight weeks from the end of the last course module, as stated in each course syllabus. After eight weeks from the end date, you will no longer have access to your course(s) dashboard in Canvas. Save any documents before that date for your personal archives. Your access to course content and videos in Coursera will not expire.
Grade Release
Final grades for the Summer term are available to view in Student Self-Service on Thursday, August 13.
Fall 2026 Registration Reminder
Fall courses begin as early as August 12, and you can register today! We encourage you to connect with a Student and Academic Success Specialist if you'd like assistance with registration and course selection. We recommend learners register for Fall 1 courses by July 29 to have access to courses by soft launch on August 5. Registration will not be permitted after 11:59 pm CT on the first day of class. Courses may reach capacity before the registration deadline, so it is advised to register early.
MBA 562 MOOC Launch
We’re excited to announce the launch of the updated MOOC for
MBA 562: Introduction to Business Analytics: Communicating with Data.
If you’ve already completed the previous version and earned a certificate, it will still count toward your for-credit course. However, we highly encourage you to review the revised materials, as updated content will be reflected in the coursework.
