Holiday Closure: Thanksgiving
The University will be closed Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29, to observe the US Thanksgiving Holiday. Please refer to your course syllabi for assignment deadlines and live session schedules. University offices will be closed, and responses via email will be limited during this time. Academic advising services will also be limited this week, with a modified Express Advising schedule. 

Today, November 25, Express Advising will follow the regular schedule. On Wednesday, November 27, Express Advising will be available from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm CT only. There will be no Express Advising held on Friday, November 29

Spring 2025 Ambassador Program Application Now Open!
Are you interested in helping us share what the Gies Online student experience looks like with prospective learners? We are looking for current learners to join the ambassador group to interact in one-to-one conversations, act as panelists during recruitment webinars, participate in office hours, host LinkedIn webinars or create and share quotes or social media posts. Applications are now open to join for the Spring! We are looking for learners who will have a positive, proactive, and professional approach and are interested in developing their leadership and presentation skills.  Questions?  Email Lori Hayes. Here’s the May 2024 Graduation Reel for inspiration! Take a look to get an idea of what we’re looking for, and here are some quick tips to help you get started:
  • Make an outline of what you would like to say.
  • Make sure your camera is stable (have someone video you or use a tripod).
  • Choose an interesting background with good lighting - wear your cap and gown or something orange and blue!
  • Be yourself - personality is key!

GenAI for Business Innovation: AI for Managers Workshop

Join Discovery Partners Institute and the Gies College of Business in person at the Discovery Partners Institute in Chicago on December 6 for GenAI for Business Innovation: AI for Managers, a hands-on, one-day workshop for executives who recognize the potential of AI and want to learn more about it. Led by Jacob Kinsey and Vishal Sachdev, the workshop will cover the ethical use and limitations of AI and will include networking opportunities and a hands-on session to build use cases. December iDegree Convocation Open House

Registration for the December 2024 iDegree Convocation Open House is still available! Join us for a pre-ceremony celebration and open house where you and your guests can socialize, take photos, and enjoy refreshments before proceeding to the main convocation ceremony.
