ACCY 531 Live Session Update
The live session time for ACCY 531: Financial Statement Analysis for MBAs has changed. The live session for the Fall 2 term, which was previously listed as Thursdays from 4:00 - 5:30 pm CT, will now beheld on Wednesdays from 4:00 - 5:30 pm CT. Please review your course syllabus for expectations and live session schedules before the official start date.

Your Canvas Course Page Has a Time Limit
Canvas course pages are available for eight weeks from the end of the last course module, as stated in each course syllabus. After eight weeks from the end date, you will no longer have access to your course(s) dashboard in Canvas. Save any documents before that date for your personal archives. Your access to course content and videos in Coursera will not expire.
 
Midwest Healthcare Management Conference Showcases AI and Innovation
Technology-driven early detection for dementia and health kiosks for rural communities were among the breakthrough ideas shared at the fourth Midwest Healthcare Management Conference, organized by Gies College of Business and Carle Illinois College of Medicine. More than 100 academics, health practitioners, and policymakers met August 23 to discuss “Digital Technology and AI-Enabled Healthcare Delivery to Diverse Patient Populations.” Read more about the conference here.
Chung Explores Interconnectivity of Gig Economy Platforms
David Chung, assistant professor of Business Administration at Gies, said he’s drawn to teaching and researching business strategy because of its complex nature without one fixed answer. Chung’s research explores corporate and technology strategy in the platform economy. Unlike a traditional business model, platforms have to rely on gig economy participants to create value. Chung explores the interconnectivity of platforms such as Uber and Lyft here.
