December 2024 iDegree Convocation Ceremony Event Registration
Registration for the December 2024 iDegrees Convocation Ceremony is now open! Join us for a pre-ceremony celebration and open house where you and your guests can socialize, take photos, and enjoy refreshments. Afterward, you'll proceed to the main convocation ceremony. Each event requires a separate registration form. You can review the Gies Convocation Ceremony website for more details.

Final Fall 2 Registration Reminder
Fall 2nd 8 week courses begin in October! There is still time to view your course offerings and get registered. Some courses reach capacity before the course begins, so register early to ensure a seat in the course. While you may register up to 11:59 pm CT the day courses begin, please register by Wednesday, September 25 to ensure you have access to Canvas and Coursera by soft launch. W. Brooke Elliott Installed as Dean of Gies College of Business
Dr. W. Brooke Elliott was installed as the 11th dean of Gies College of Business and invested as the Josef and Margot Lakonishok Professor in Business, on September 12 in a ceremony held in the Lincoln International Atrium of the Business Instructional Facility. Forté's MBA Women's Virtual Conference Registration Deadline

Riley League Combatting Waste and Fraud in Healthcare
Riley League, new assistant professor in the Department of Finance, comes to Gies after spending a year as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research, a nonprofit organization that facilitates research and analysis of major economic issues, where he worked on research on aging and health. One particular industry that he focused on is the dialysis industry. This is a particularly expensive sector of healthcare that has experienced large amounts of wasteful spending and fraud. Read more about his most recent paper here.
