Save the Date: Japan Virtual Immersion
We are thrilled to announce an upcoming virtual immersion experience! Mark your calendars for a two-week virtual capstone course in Japan, beginning on October 9, 2024. The participation fee is $575, which includes a $100 deposit required at registration. If you are not selected, the deposit will be refunded. All degree learners are welcome to participate, and iMBA learners who join will fulfill one specialization capstone. Details on the immersion and registration process will be shared next week. 
 
Midwest Healthcare Management Conference Registration Deadline
The deadline to register for the Midwest Healthcare Management Conference is Friday, August 2. Gies College of Business and the Carle Illinois College of Medicine are once again teaming up to host the Midwest Healthcare Management Conference on Friday, August 23, from 8:00 am- 8:00 pm at the I Hotel and Illinois Conference Center. At this year's event, participants will discuss digital technology and AI-enabled healthcare delivery to diverse patient populations. Visit the conference webpage to learn more and register today.

IBC Student Team Redesigns Cannabis DEI Dashboard, Unlocking Deeper Insights
Discovery Partners Institute (DPI) has partnered with Illinois Business Consulting (IBC) to better integrate and visualize a trove of new data about Illinois’ burgeoning cannabis industry. Gies Associate Professor of Accountancy Justin Leiby is overseeing the project, working with IBC students to redesign a dashboard to make it easier to analyze complex information related to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and social justice regulatory policies. Professor Leiby teaches ACCY 574 Risk Management and Innovation in the iMBA and iMSA program. Read more about the project here.
