Fall 2024 Ambassador Applications Due This Week | ||
Are you interested in helping us share what the Gies Online student experience looks like with prospective students? We are looking for current students to join the ambassador group to interact in one -on-one conversations, act as panelists during recruitment webinars, participate in office hours, host LinkedIn webinars or create and share quotes or social media posts. We are looking for students with a positive, proactive, and professional approach and are interested in developing their leadership and presentation skills. Questions? Email Lori Hayes. Zoom Required Minimum Version | ||
Beginning July 9, the required minimum Zoom Workplace will be version 6.1.0 or newer for Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, Linux, and the VDI Windows Meeting Client. To check the version of Zoom currently on a computer:

Your Canvas Course Page Has a Time Limit | ||
Canvas course pages are available for eight weeks from the end of the last course module, as stated in each course syllabus. After eight weeks from the end date, you will no longer have access to your course(s) dashboard in Canvas. Save any documents before that date for your personal archives. Your access to course content and videos in Coursera will not expire. | ||

Revised ACCY 500 MOOC Launch | ||
The revised MOOCs for ACCY 500: Accounting Measurement, Reporting, and Control have launched. Access MOOC 1 Financial Accounting: Foundations and MOOC 2 Financial Accounting: Advanced Topics. If you have previously completed old versions of these MOOCs and have received the certificate, it will still be recognized. However, you should plan to watch any new video content to be successful in your accompanying Canvas high-engagement component of the course. | ||
Technology Entrepreneur Center to Host Inclusive Innovators Summit | ||
The Technology Entrepreneur Center invites Midwest graduate students to the Inclusive Innovators Summit on July 17 from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm at the Siebel Center for Design, a premier event bringing together Midwest graduate students, postdocs, and faculty with leading academic and entrepreneurial experts. The Inclusive Innovators Summit is an initiative of the NSF I-Corps Great Lakes Region Hub, dedicated to building insights and solutions for inclusive engagement in innovation. This summit aims to foster inclusive engagement in research commercialization and science entrepreneurship. This summit is not hosted by Gies Online Programs.
