The University will be closed on Thursday, July 4 for Independence Day, a US federal holiday commemorating the Declaration of Independence and the establishment of the United States. Please refer to your course syllabi for assignment deadlines and live session schedules. University offices will be closed, and responses via email will be delayed during this time. We look forward to interacting with you on Friday, July 5 when the University reopens. | |

Deadline to Apply to Graduate This Week | |
If you are completing your degree requirements by August 2024, you must submit your application to confer your degree by Friday, June 28. Please follow the instructions outlined on our degree conferral page to submit your application for graduation. Learners who earn their degree in August 2024 are eligible to participate in the December 2024 Convocation ceremony. Please remember that submitting your application for graduation will not register you for the Convocation ceremony. | |
Green Presents Tax Research Results to White House Council of Economic Advisers | |
Gies College of Business professor Danielle Higgins Green visited the White House to present the findings of a recent research paper, which could have wide-ranging effects on the United States tax system. Green and her coauthors Erin Henry (University of Arkansas) and George Plesko (University of Connecticut) spoke with the White House Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) about their study, “The Demographics of the CAMT: Insights from Tax Return Data,” which is forthcoming in the National Tax Journal.
