| May 2023 iDegrees Convocation Ceremony | The May 2023 iDegrees Convocation Ceremony will be held in person on Friday, May 12 from 3:00-4:30 pm CT at the State Farm Center. Ceremony registration and details will be shared out to May 2023 graduates later in the semester, but we encourage you to check the Gies Convocation Website for more updates. Degree Conferral vs Convocation Ceremony iDegrees Convocation Ceremony: This is the in-person graduation ceremony held by the Gies College of Business on Friday, May 12. This ceremony is a celebration of completing your degree, but your degree conferral is the formal process by which the University awards your degree, and this is an entirely separate process from the convocation ceremony. Degree Conferral: Refers to the process that the University will officially verify that learners have completed their degree requirements and award degrees. The University will begin to confer degrees for May 2023 graduates starting on May 13, but it may take longer for the degree to be officially awarded. For May 2023 graduates to be awarded their degree, they will need to apply for graduation on student self-service by April 2. | Faculty Feature | Michael Roach | Professor Michael Roach is an Associate Professor of Business Administration.
