You can check your own Zoom version by following the guide here. It must be 5.11.3 or newer by September 10.If you are prompted to update Zoom, please do so as soon as possible. | | Phishing Campaigns on the Rise | As the semester kicks off, please be extra cautions about potential phishing/fake emails. We usually see a significant increase right when classes start, as attackers know that we're all in a whirlwind of activity and often too rushed to catch subtle hints that something isn't legitimate.
The two most common types at the moment are:
- Messages impersonating VIPs like deans, directors, and department heads, asking for a favor
- Messages using Google or Box to send "shared document" notifications.
