Upcoming MOOC Updates
BADM 508: Leadership and Teams
Both Coursera MOOCs for BADM 508: Leadership and Teams are currently being revised for Fall 2022. Because of the significant revisions, it is strongly recommended to not work ahead on these MOOCs until they are released later this summer. If you have already completed the MOOCs and earned the certificates, you will not need to re-earn the certificates. However, you will be responsible for all new content in the revised MOOCs.

MBA 547: Global Marketing
The MOOCs for the new MBA 547: Global Marketing are currently being designed for Fall 2022. If you previously completed the MOOCs associated with MBA 547: Global Impact: Cultural Psychology and Business Ethics and are completing the high-engagement portion of MBA 547: Global Marketing this fall, you will need to re-take the new MOOCs. Due to the difference in content of these two courses, certificates and progress earned in the old versions of the MOOCs will not transfer.

FIN 584: Corporate Finance
The MOOCs for FIN 584: Corporate Finance are currently being redesigned for Spring 2022. If you have already completed the MOOCs and earned the certificates, you will not need to re-earn the certificates. However, you will be responsible for all new content in the revised MOOCs.
Holiday Closures
The University will be closed on Monday, July 4 for Independence Day, a United States Holiday. University offices will be closed, and there will be no advising services offered. Please refer to your course syllabi for assignment deadlines and live session schedules. There will be no At-A-Glance newsletter on July 4, but will resume the following Monday, July 11.

Leading teams in today's world requires a new paradigm – one in which leaders create the conditions to enable effective problem solving within the organizational culture. In this webinar, we will explore what this paradigm shift should entail; how the new paradigm addresses the challenges of today's globally interconnected, fast-paced business world; and how to begin to implement the practice necessary to transition to the new paradigm for leadership.

Opportunity to Work with the Finance Department
The Gies Finance department is looking to hire graduate students for a senior manager position (something like a T.A.) where they would oversee four FIN 583 action learning teams through the MS Finance Practicum Program for the Fall 2022 semester. In this course, student teams of 4-6 complete real-time projects for actual companies. In this role, you would support the faculty mentor, coach team leaders, and provide guidance for the teams' client-based projects. Key skills gained include project management, coaching, leadership, and business problem-solving. This is a paid position. While an understanding of finance is a bonus, it is not required, as the faculty mentor will address finance questions. It is more important to have project experience.  The deadline to apply is June 30, 2022.   To learn more and apply, click here.   If you have any questions, please reach out to Denise Maple, Clinical Assistant Professor, at dlmaple@illinois.edu.
