Drop Deadlines
For courses that began March 16, the last day to drop a course and get a 100% refund is today, March 21 by 11:59 pm CT.  For iMSA 8-week courses that started on March 14, you have until March 25 to drop with a full refund. Please check our Refund Guide located on our Dropping Courses and Refunds website for more information.

ACCY 531: Financial Statement Analysis for MBAs
Taught by Professor Brian Hamm, ACCY 531 will expose you to the knowledge and skills necessary to analyze, interpret, and use financial information to make informed decisions. Throughout the course, you will use a variety of tools to break apart financial reports into meaningful units for analysis, to forecast financial statements, and to value a business entity. ACCY 500 must be completed before the start of this course. Professor Hamm shares more about ACCY 531 in the course introduction video.

ACCY 532: Accounting for Mergers & Acquisitions and Other Complex Transactions
A new course as part of the Mergers & Acquisitions specialization taught by Professor Oktay Urcan, this course focuses on the financial accounting behind the deal structures and transactions that shape complex organizations. Throughout the course, you will examine the accounting, economic, and regulatory aspects of a variety of different transaction types, including but not limited to M&A transactions. It is strongly recommended to complete FIN 584 and ACCY 500 or ACCY 501 before beginning this course; students are required to understand core accounting principles and have a basic knowledge of concepts in finance.

Credit is not awarded for ACCY 532 and ACCY 506 or ACCY 410


MBA 565: Infonomics
This course, taught by Doug Laney, provides a non-technical perspective on and methods for monetizing, managing, and measuring information as if it were any other kind of corporate asset. Explore information's unique economic characteristics and legal status, the importance of alternative data courses, and concerns surrounding information ownership, sovereignty, privacy, and ethics. Hear  from Professor Laney and register for this course, which begins May 18.

iMBA Graduates - Program Capstone
iMBA students who are wanting to graduate in May need to make sure they apply to graduate and register for the Program Capstone by April 3. Grouping requests for the Program Capstone must be submitted by April 3.

Only one person needs to submit a request for their group. If you do not submit a request, you will be placed into a group based off your time zone. Remember to make sure your fellow team members have registered for the Program Capstone in UIUC Self-Service using the appropriate CRN. Submission of this form will not auto-enroll anyone in the course.
