HEERF III COVID-19 Emergency Financial Aid Grants |
Graduate and professional students enrolled for Spring 2022 may submit a request for an emergency grant of up to $1,000 to help with financial challenges associated with COVID-19. Students enrolled in an on-campus or online program are eligible to apply regardless of nationality or citizenship status. The application period will begin Tuesday, January 18, and close Monday, January 31, at 5 p.m. (CT). The funds can be used to cover any component of a student’s cost of attendance or for emergency costs due to COVID-19, including tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care), or child care, provided that the expense was incurred on or after the start of the national COVID-19 emergency on March 13, 2020, and the expenses were not already covered by other sources of funding. These grants are funded by the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) III, which is part of the federal American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. More information about this grant is available online. |
Shift in Delivery Schedule for ACCY 503 and BADM 567 |
Beginning Fall 2022, the offering schedule of ACCY 503 (iMBA/iMSM) and BADM 567 will change. ACCY 503: Managerial Accounting for iMBA and iMSM will be offered in Fall 2 (October) and Spring 2 (March), beginning Fall 2022. While ACCY 503 will be offered this summer (May 2022), this section will be limited to students graduating in Summer 2022 and PAT students. Other students should plan to take this in October 2022 or in future terms. The iMSA section of ACCY 503 will not be impacted by this schedule change. BADM 567: Process Management will be offered in Spring 1 (January) and Summer (May), starting Spring 2023. With the shift in delivery of these courses, BADM 567 will not be offered in Fall 2022. If you intend to graduate in Fall 2022, please ensure you register for BADM 567 this Spring 2022 semester (March 16 - May 10). If you have concerns that this will impact your degree plan, please schedule a one-on-one appointment with a Specialist before the second 8-week courses registration deadline of February 23 or email i-support@illinois.edu with any questions. |
iMBA Carle Medical Capstone Opportunity |
The Carle College of Medicine is the world’s first engineering-based college of medicine where they are leveraging advanced technology to train physical-innovators. During the medical students' final year in the program, they complete a capstone project. This is a year-long project where medical students will team up with business and engineering students to develop a new product - at least a working prototype - for the capstone. More detailed information can be found in the two attachments. At this time, the opportunity is only available to iMBA students who reside in the U.S. Students interested in being part of the capstone team will need to submit a resume and video introduction of yourself and the skills you will bring to the capstone team. The selection is competitive and determined by the Carle College of Medicine Capstone Committee. Upon successful completion of all 3 semesters of the Carle College of Medicine Capstone, iMBA students will fulfill both specialization capstone requirements. You can apply to participate at https://forms.illinois.edu/sec/1972185798. Deadline to apply is Tuesday, February 15. If you have any questions regarding the opportunity, please reach out to Professor Ravi Mehta (mehtar@illinois.edu). |
