University Closed Thursday and Friday
The University will be closed this Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26 in observance of Thanksgiving, a US Federal Holiday. Responses via email will be delayed during this time. We look forward to interacting with you on Monday, November 29 when the university reopens. Refer to your syllabus for specific course deadlines during this time.

There will be no iMBA/iMSM Express Advising on Wednesday, November 24.

Accounting is the language of business, and Gies College of Business has been a leader in preparing accounting professionals for decades. The accounting job market continues to be strong and is not expected to slow down any time soon. With a Gies Accounting education, you will be ready for success in a profession that provides a wide variety of career paths.
Advisory accounting is one of those paths. Advances in technology have automated routine accounting tasks, changing the traditional work of an accountant. There has been a skill shift, with a greater emphasis on the analytical advisory role.
In this webinar, you will learn about advisory careers in accounting. Gies Accounting faculty and alumni in the advisory field will discuss the opportunities that are found beyond public accounting and will help you chart a course that sets you on this path.

As we approach the end of the Fall semester, it is important to remember to take care of ourselves. Take time this week to explore resources from the Counseling Center and McKinley Health Center.
Counseling Center Outreach
This hub of resources includes videos on managing time, lessening test anxiety, and maintaining motivation. There is also information about how to attend Daily Mindfulness workshops that help students stay grounded and focused in times of stress

Explore McKinley Health's tips on guided imagery, deep breathing, and progressive muscle relaxation.

Register for Spring First 8-week Courses!
It is time to register for spring courses. You can register for both first and second 8-weeks at this time. It is recommended to utilize the Student Portal to create a degree plan before you register. If you need assistance, our team of Student & Academic Success Specialists are ready to help. There is no Express Advising this Wednesday, November 24.
