Heitor Almeida, Stanley C. and Joan J. Golder Chair in Corporate Finance and Academic Director of iMBA
Professor Almeida began teaching at the University of Illinois in 2007, and works as a research associate for the National Bureau of Economic Research. In addition to serving as the Associate Editor for the Journal of Financial Intermediation and the Journal of Banking and Finance, Professor Almeida currently holds the position of Managing Editor at the Journal of Corporate Finance.

Lead Instructor for Finance of Mergers & Acquisitions, the first course in the Mergers & Acquisitions Specialization, which launches in March 2022.
Rob Metzger, Clinical Assistant Professor of Finance
Professor Metzger is the Director of the Investment Banking Academy and Is General Partner for Mission OG, in addition to being a Clinical Assistant Professor of Finance. Professor Metzger was honored in Spring 2021 by the Gies Business Alumni Association, where he received the Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.

Lead Instructor for Application of Investment Banking Concepts, the final course in the M&A Specialization, which will launch August 2022. The first two courses in the M & A specialization must be completed in order to enroll in this course.
Oktay Urcan, Associate Professor of Accountancy and Fred & Virginia Roedgers Faculty Fellow in Accountancy and Academic Director of iMSA
Professor Urcan holds a PhD in Accountancy from the University of Texas Dallas and started teaching the University of Illinois in 2014. Since then, he has been ranked by his students as an Excellent Teacher for five years. His research interests include archival financial accounting: debt market relevance of accounting information, accounting disclosures, and macro accounting.
