Memorial Day Holiday Closure
The University will be closed on Monday, May 27 to honor the lives of US military members who have fallen while serving in the armed forces. Please refer to your course syllabi for assignment deadlines and live session schedules. University offices will be closed, and responses via email will be delayed during this time. There will be no At-a-Glance newsletter sent that week. We look forward to interacting with you on Tuesday, May 28 when the University reopens.

Implementing AI Technology in Business Education
Robert Brunner, Gies Associate Dean for Innovation and Chief Disruption Officer and Professor of Accountancy discusses the ways Gies instructors are experimenting with AI technology in their courses.Professor Brunner teaches a new course in the iMBA called ACCY 593 Disruption and Emerging Technologies, which launched in Spring 2024. Read more about their methods here.
 
iDegrees Course Assistant Application is Due Today
The application to become a Gies iDegrees Course Assistant is open now. If you are interested in being considered for a position that will begin in August, please complete the CA application no later than 11:59 pm CT Today, May 20. Due to the volume of applications, late submissions will not be accepted. The CA assignments will be announced in June.
Application Process
  • Even if you are currently working for us, you need to apply for each term, so please make sure you apply before the deadline.
  • Be careful with the course(s) you select. If you work on the course as CA, you will not be eligible to take it for credit as a student later.
  • Please list up to four choices of courses you would like to support. We are doing this in the hopes that we can match more people to support roles.
  • Make sure to submit your resume and transcripts in one pdf file.
