| Video/Photos of Live Sessions on Wednesday |
The Gies Marketing & Communications team is planning to capture photos and video footage of the online teaching environment this Wednesday, July 20th during your live session. Footage we capture will be used in marketing material – including our website, news stories, and advertisements.
Should you feel more comfortable, you are more than welcome to turn off your camera if you would not like to be included. You also have the option to change your display name for privacy.
To change your name after entering a Zoom meeting: - Click on the “Participants” button at the top of the Zoom window.
- Next, hover your mouse over your name in the “Participants” list on the right side of the Zoom window.
- Click on “Rename".
- Choose an appropriate new name such as “John Doe”, “Jane Smith”, etc.

| Midwest Healthcare Management Conference: Using Technology to Improve Delivery of Healthcare to a Diverse Population |
Friday, August 22, 2022 | 8 am - 6 pm CT
I Hotel and Conference Center, 1900 South First Street, Champaign, IL
Join Gies College of Business and Carle Illinois College of Medicine as we explore ways to use technology to improve delivery of healthcare to a diverse population. The conference will broadly address provision of healthcare to underserved communities, and the role of enabling technologies such as data analytics and AI in delivery of healthcare. Some topics of interest are the use of telemedicine to improve access and affordability of preventative and primary care, impact of COVID-19 on healthcare delivery to underserved communities, patient engagement and early detection of serious health conditions using technology and data analytics. The conference will provide the opportunity to network with and learn from healthcare delivery organizations and providers and address the possibilities and challenges of delivering healthcare to a diverse patient population using analytics and technology. The conference has a distinctive focus on:
- Social healthcare for underserved communities
- Multidisciplinary approach and practice
- Special attention to healthcare issues and problems faced by practitioners and providers.

We are looking for current students to join the ambassador group to interact in one-to-one conversations, act as panelists during recruitment webinars, participate in office hours, or create and share quotes or social media posts. We are looking for students who will have a positive, proactive, and professional approach and are interested in developing their leadership and presentation skills.

BADM 508: Leadership and Teams
The Coursera MOOCs for BADM 508: Leadership and Teams are currently being revised and it is strongly recommended to not work ahead on these MOOCs until new versions are available. If you have already completed the MOOCs, you will not need to re-earn the certificates. However, you will be responsible for all new content in the revised MOOCs.
MBA 547: Global Marketing
The MOOCs for the new course MBA 547: Global Marketing are currently being designed for Fall 2022. Certificates and progress earned in the old versions of the MOOCs will not transfer.
FIN 584: Corporate Finance
The MOOCs for FIN 584: Corporate Finance are currently being redesigned for Spring 2022. If you have already completed the MOOCs, you will not need to re-earn the certificates. However, you will be responsible for all new content in the revised MOOCs. |
