Removing Invisible Barriers in Mental Health Through Ethical Entrepreneurship

Please join the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Gies Business for a special Black History Month conversation featuring Kevin Dedner, CEO and founder of 
Hurdle, an innovative digital mental health platform company in Washington, DC, that provides culturally intentional teletherapy to eliminate barriers that make it harder for people of color to get mental health care. In 2021 Hurdle raised $5 million in seed funding to accelerate expansion of its mental health platform. This will be a dynamic, informative discussion. There will also be opportunities for questions from the audience. Register today!
iMBA Core Specialization Capstones
Are you ready to complete a core capstone in March? Make sure to register today to get a seat! In the Spring and Summer terms, all 4 core capstones are being offered. You must have completed all courses in the sequence to be eligible. Not sure if you're eligible? Drop into Express Advising offered every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 am - 12 pm and 1 - 3 pm CT, or email i-support@illinois.edu  for help.

Capstones offer the unique option to form your own groups of people. Information about grouping preference requests will be sent out to those registered students in the next couple weeks, so make sure to register today!
Second 8-Week Registration Deadline - February 23
The deadline to register for second 8-week courses is February 23. If you have not yet registered for your courses, please do so immediately via Student Self-Service. If you do not register as soon as possible, you may experience a delay in access to your courses. If you need help picking out classes or have questions regarding registration, please visit us during Express Advising to quickly get answers to your questions!
Update Your Grouping Preference Form
Please take a moment to go into the group profile form and update your preferences as well as your availability. Preferences must be updated one week before courses begin. Bookmark the link to the form as it stores your preferences and will be continually used, unless otherwise updated. You do not need to fill out the form if there are no changes from your initial preferences.

Live Session Times For Second 8-Weeks Available Now
As you register for your second 8-week courses, please review the live session times for your courses. Attendance at one of the weekly live sessions is strongly encouraged. If unable to participate, students are expected to watch the recording of the live session as soon as possible. Attendance requirements will vary by course, so be sure to check the syllabus. Visit the website to view course offerings and live session times. 
iMBA Carle Medical Capstone Opportunity
The Carle College of Medicine is the world’s first engineering-based college of medicine where they are leveraging advanced technology to train physical-innovators. Students interested in being part of the capstone team will need to submit a resume and video introduction of yourself and the skills you will bring to the capstone team. The selection is competitive and determined by the Carle College of Medicine Capstone Committee. Upon successful completion of all 3 semesters of the Carle College of Medicine Capstone, iMBA students will fulfill both specialization capstone requirements.

The Turnaround Management Association (TMA) is a professional organization in the corporate restructuring, renewal, and corporate health space. Members include turn around practitioners, attorneys, accountants, advisors, liquidators, consultants, as well as academic, government employees, and members of the judiciary.

BLS and The Gies College of Business are partnering with The Turnaround Management Association to host a virtual panel over Zoom featuring four Illini Alumni who work in the turn around field, both on the legal and business sides.
