Plan Ahead for Spring Registration
Time tickets are available to view on Self-Service, and registration begins soon! Have you created a degree plan yet? Now is a great time to create or update your plan to make sure you are on track for your intended graduation date.
There are several ways to connect
  • For iMBA/iMSM registration questions, drop into Express Advising every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 AM- 12 PM and 1 - 3 PM CT.
  • For iMSA registration questions, drop into iMSA Office Hours every Tuesday from 1 - 2 PM CT.

Improve Your Resume with VMOCK
Gies Online is thrilled to launch VMOCK, a SMART resume platform. The platform utilizes resume templates to help you edit your resume in a way that will be best for your path. Depending on your career path and experience, not all templates will be applicable.

The VMOCK platform is available to Gies Online current degree-seeking students and Gies Online alumni for one year post-graduation. 
Ready to get started? 
1. Go to http://www.vmock.com/giesidegree and click "Continue with University ID" 
2. Log in using your netID and Password 
3. Click "sign up" 
4. You will be taken to the dashboard. Watch the Quick Guide video to learn more about the platform 
5. Upload your resume in PDF format and follow the steps to get feedback for your resume! 
6. Click on the Aspire tab to get feedback and enhance your LinkedIn profile!

December Convocation Ceremony - Join Us Virtually or In-Person
Gies Online Virtual Convocation Ceremony
Gies Online will host a virtual Fall 2021 Convocation ceremony at 10 AM CT. We will share Zoom information as we get closer to the event.

Gies College of Business Fall In-Person Convocation Ceremony
Gies College of Business will hold an in-person convocation ceremony at 5 - 6:30 PM on December 18 in the Foellinger Great Hall of the Krannert Center for Performing Arts. Fall 2021 graduates are invited to participate and should register by November 12
Course Assistants Application Open for Spring
Applications are now open for FIN 584 and ACCY 500. Students interested in being considered for available hourly course assistant (CA) position should complete the CA Application. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, November 16.

Qualifications:
  • Students must reside in the U.S. (Due to the change in university policy we are unable to hire students that live outside of the U.S.)
  • Students must be in good academic standing
  • Students must have successfully completed the course (with at least a grade of A or higher) that they are applying to be a CA for.
Course assistants are expected to work on average 10 hours per week for eight weeks. Course assistants are employees of the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign; as such you will be required to complete new hire paperwork and an I-9.   You will need to submit timesheets every two weeks.  Reminders will be sent.
Holiday Notice
The University will be closed Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26 in observance of Thanksgiving, a US Federal Holiday. Responses via email will be delayed during this time. We look forward to interacting with you on Monday, November 29 when the university reopens. Refer to your syllabus for specific course deadlines during this time.
