Recording: Over the Rainbow: Tools to be an Authentic LGBTQ+ Ally
The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion recently hosted an event to define key terms, dig into policies that affect the LGBTQ+ community, and share tools to build allies and be an ally. If you missed the event, you can watch a recording.
 
Seeking New Course Assistants
We are currently accepting application for course assistants for courses offered in fall 1. Students interested in being considered for available hourly course assistant (CA) position should complete the CA application. Due to the changes in the university tax policy, only students who reside in the U.S. can apply. The deadline to apply is Thursday, July 22. 

Course assistants are expected to work on average 10 hours per week for eight weeks.  The program pays an hourly rate of $15. Course assistants are employees of the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign; as such you will be required to complete new hire paperwork and an I-9. You will need to submit timesheets every two weeks. Reminders will be sent.

Qualifications:

  • Students must reside in the U.S. (due to the change in university tax code, we are unable to hire students that live outside of the U.S.)
  • Students must be in good academic standing
Students must have successfully completed the course (with at least a grade of A or higher) that they are applying to be a CA for. 
 
Register for Fall Courses Today!
The registration deadline is approaching. It is important to register as soon as possible to avoid a delay in accessing your courses. If you need assistance registering, please drop into our Express Advising every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 10am-12pm or 1pm-3pm CST to quickly get answers to your questions. Express Advising is first-come, first-serve. 
 
Take Time Now to Save Course Documents
Compass course websites are available for 8 weeks from the end of the last course module, as stated in each course syllabus. After that date, you will no longer have access to the course website in Compass. Save any documents before that date for your personal archives, including your individual and team assignments.
 
Upcoming MOOC Revisions
Because we strive to deliver innovative and exceptional course content, several MOOCs will have significant changes for the upcoming fall semester. It is strongly recommended to not complete the following MOOCs until a new version has been launched:
  
BADM 520 - MOOCs 1 and 2 MBA 564 Special Topics 1 - MOOC 1
MBA 543 - MOOC 2     MBA 564 Special Topics 2 - MOOC 1
BADM 567 - MOOCs 1 and 2MBA 544 - MOOC 1
  

The MOOCs for MBA 553: Entrepreneurship: From Startup to Growth are now available! 
Access MOOC 1 and MOOC 2 for MBA 553. If you have previously completed old versions of these MOOCs and have received the certificate, it will still be recognized. However, you should plan to watch any new video content in order to be successful in your accompanying high-engagement courses.
